We’re shocked and extremely saddened to tell you all of the sudden passing of our adult member John Balmer.
John was a member of our club for many years and achieved his first Dan followed by his second Dan just a couple of years ago.
John trained in Shukokai Karate for a long time ever since he attended Master Kimuras courses in the late 70s.
John would also attend black belt gradings of members of the club to offer support which always goes a long way to settle nerves on such a big night.
A very well respected Karateka and gentleman, John attended our Cambuslang club so often he was part of the woodwork.
John will be sorely missed and we would like to pass on our condolences to his friends and family at this difficult time.
What a great day yesterday at our Cambuslang summer course.
It was amazing seeing everyone from all of our classes mix well and make new friends while improving their Karate skills.
We also started our 5 step anti bullying programme yesterday which went really well.
The work ethic and attitude of everyone in the yesterday’s heat was second to none so a huge well done.
We’re looking forward to seeing everyone when all classes start back mid August.
See you all then
All of our clubs are now off until our summer course at the end of July.
All classes resume back in August.
We'd like to wish all of our members and their families a great summer and a huge well done on all of their hard work and effort on building confidence, stamina, speed and technique this year.
As always thanks for all of your support and we all look forward to seeing you after the break.
Dusty, Carol and Steven
